Products
What grade materials are used during manufacturing?

We use A-grade PU board and MDF from some of South Africa’s best manufacturers. All hardware features an anti-rust coating for lasting quality.

Do items need to be assembled at home?

Our furniture ranges bought in retail stores across the country are mostly already pre-assembled, but we also sell flatpack furniture in-store.

Our online ranges are delivered flatpacked and you need to assemble the items yourself.

Flatpack furniture items are very easy to assemble and come with clear instructions.

What is required for assembly?

We provide clear instructions and all the necessary screws and bolts for hassle-free assembly of all our flatpacked furniture.

You'll only need a Phillips (star) screwdriver. We supply an allen key.

What is the best treatment of furniture items to ensure that they last longer?
  1. Always lift your furniture, instead of pushing or pulling.
  2. Keep doors and drawers secure.
  3. Clean with a damp cloth and avoid chemicals or furniture oil. 
  4. Use water sparingly to prevent water damage. Excessive water will cause damage, voiding the warranty.
Can furniture dimensions and designs be customised?

We will gladly provide a quotation for customisation, if the quantities are sufficient. Please contact us with your needs.

Your product is delivered with clear and easy-to-follow assembly instructions.

You can also download the PDF, as well as link to the assembly video from the product page on this website – where you've purchased the product.

The pamphlet delivered with your product also contains a QR code, which you can scan to access the assembly video.

Orders & Payment
How is an order placed?

You can order through our website or directly from the factory. For website orders, navigate to our products, select your product, add it to your shopping basket, and continue to payment. Please contact us if you need help with this process.

What payment methods are accepted for online orders?

We accept credit card payments via Payfast (a secure third party platform) and EFTs. Please contact us if you need assistance with payment arrangements.

Is cash on delivery (COD) accepted for online orders?

As we make use of third party delivery service providers, unfortunately, we cannot accept cash on delivery as payment for our items. We accept credit card and EFT payments.

How do I send the voucher code when I buy a gift voucher for someone else?

As with a normal product order, you will first receive an order confirmation e-mail.

Look out for the second e-mail containing your gift voucher code.

You can simply forward this e-mail to the recipient or copy-and-paste the code and send it via Whatsapp or other method of communication.

Each code can be used only once.

Delivery
How much does delivery cost?

National delivery to The Courier Guy's regional and main centres are free (included in the price you see on the website). Delivery to remote and high risk areas are additionally charged and will be calculated at checkout, when you enter your delivery address.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Delivery usually takes place 5-7 days from when the order was placed. This may vary depending on your delivery address and type of item purchased. We will keep you informed throughout the process.

Can delivery details be updated once entered on the site?

You can update all your personal details on your Account page.

Returns & Refunds
What is the refund policy?

Unfortunately, we don’t accept returns or offer refunds for non-defective products. For non-warranty-related returns, customers are responsible for delivery costs.

What happens if an ordered item is out of stock?

We’ll contact you with options within 1-2 working days. You will have the option to swap for a similar product, get a store credit, or request a full refund.

Warranty & Repairs
Does the furniture come with a warranty?

We provide a limited warranty of six months from the date of purchase on all furniture products.

What does the six-month limited warranty cover?

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for six months from the date of purchase. However, it’s essential to follow our care instructions. Using furniture oil / wax or chemicals can cause irreparable damage, which isn’t covered by our warranty.

Are there exclusions to the warranty?

The warranty doesn’t cover damage from misuse, accidents, neglect, unauthorised repairs, or improper assembly. Normal wear and tear, water damage, and damages from third-party transportation aren’t covered.

How are valid warranty claims dealt with?

We’ll either repair or replace the defective part or product. However, you’ll be responsible for delivery costs to our factory and back to you again. If the original item isn’t available, we might substitute it with a similar product of equal value.

What’s the process for furniture repairs?
  1. Return the product to the retail outlet where it was purchased, or contact us if you bought your furniture item online on our website. 
  2. You will receive a customer repair order (CRO) and be informed of the next steps after the factory inspection.
  3. Repairs will only start after your approval.
  4. You’ll be contacted once the repairs are completed, and goods will only be released after payment.
Who covers the delivery fees for repairs?

You’ll be responsible for delivery fees if you can’t drop the item off at the retail outlet where it was purchased (or at our factory, if you bought from us directly).

Is the warranty transferable?

No, the warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser.

Please first double-check your username and password. If issues persist, use the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login page to reset your password.

Can account passwords be reset?
